Hi, Reader I hope you’re doing well and are looking forward to a fine July 4th (if you celebrate). I’m feeling back to normal, this week and have been working hard revising that darned follow-up to Letters to Ellie, and am happy to report…that draft is done. If all goes well, maybe (medium-sized maybe) I can have it out before the end of October? We’ll see. I hate to commit, since the last revision went so horribly wrong. 🫣 For reading, I’m still plugging along in the Thelonious Monk book I mentioned the last two weeks. This sucker is dense and spends way too much time on things that have nothing to do with Monk. grumble Anyway, he’s 19 now where I last left off. Woohoo! He’s got to be hitting the Big Time anytime now. (right?) shakes head 50 pages down, 400 more to go. Oh, and here's one I'm sure you'll all love: I finished a novella called Bride's Adventure, by Caroline Clemmons. It's the fourth book in her "Loving a Rancher" series, a western romance set in Montana. You might like it if, you'd like to check it out. Listening to this week: Miles Davis. I happened upon a livestream of Miles ‘56 on Youtube and have been listening to that all weekend. It’s pretty cool. It’s danged hot last Saturday, my poor car’s gauge read 106°). So maybe listening to cool music will help? Let’s see. Those of you who wanted my blog posts, here’s a snippet of one you might have missed (and the link to read the rest….) What’s your ideal hero in sweet Victorian romance?Oh boy, this oughta get me in trouble. :) Because, guess what? My idea of a hero doesn’t seem to fit any of the styles you’ll see in your typical modern romance novel. What is my ideal romance hero?I like the poets, the musicians, the sensitive thinking men, the ones who use their minds and intellect to get out of sticky situations. The ones that work with the heroines rather than the kind that say “Step aside, honey. Let the man deal with this.” I’m sorry? I understand where it came from (*cavemen) but I prefer ladies who deal with their own hardships, Princess Leia types rather than the shrinking violet heroines. But that’s off-topic, isn’t it? I like the heroes like …. You can read the rest of the post here: https://julidrevezzo.com/post/ideal-hero-in-sweet-Victorian-romance Once you’ve read it, tell me: Who’s your ideal romance hero? (Or, what’s your favorite type of romance hero?)And lastly, I have some promos and swaps to share: One for the lovers of urban fantasy. Although she's intrigued with the handsome assistant stationmaster, Shane MacIntyre, she never expects to fall head-over-heels in love with him. Christmas At Kellworth: Synopsis: The best gifts are the ones you didn't know you were waiting for. Series Written in the Twickenham World:
Goodness! I can't believe we're already talking Christmas. Where did this year go? and one more: Synopsis: Alice has always assumed that Charles Barnfield — handsome, cheerful, and refreshingly uncomplicated — would one day be her husband. Then Lord Hartwood returns from abroad. He is everything Charles is not: titled, fashionable, and possessed of an affected drawl that sets Alice's teeth on edge. He is also, infuriatingly, impossible to ignore. Hartwood, for his part, takes one look at Alice and loses his heart entirely — but he has no intention of winning her through his title or her parents' pressure. He wants her to choose him freely. The trouble is, Alice isn't sure she wants to choose him at all. That’s all from me for now. Have a good week. TTYS, Juli |

Happy almost-Midsummer, my friends. I hope you're all doing well. I've had a ... bad week. After the last time we spoke, I did some weeding in the garden and ...wrenched my back. Again. So I've been down all week, not much work done on the follow-up to Letters to Ellie. Because I also hit a pesky point in my revision that needs my butt in the uncomfortable computer chair to accomplish. :( Naturally, right? But we'll get there. Bright side? I have less than 80 pages left to double check, and...
Good day again Reader. I hope you're doing well. I am. Sorry for an extra email, but hello and welcome to June! Can you believe it's June again? Plans for this summer? None but I'm hopeful for getting the follow-up to Letters to Ellie out before Fall. (I hope!) Also, praying for no hurricanes this year. Dare we hope? Summer isn't summer. It's hurricane season. Oh for my school days where I only planned for time off. Now? No. Just storms. What am I up to this week? I'm still working hard on...
