Midsummer already? (Fantasy paranormal giveaway included)

Happy almost-Midsummer, my friends. I hope you're all doing well. I've had a ... bad week. After the last time we spoke, I did some weeding in the garden and ...wrenched my back. Again. So I've been down all week, not much work done on the follow-up to Letters to Ellie. Because I also hit a pesky point in my revision that needs my butt in the uncomfortable computer chair to accomplish. :(

Naturally, right?

But we'll get there. Bright side? I have less than 80 pages left to double check, and the massive mess I thought I made of the book didn't turn out to be as bad as I thought on the last pass. I hope to be back at it by next week. So, maybe (big bright red maybe!) I'll have news on its release by the end of the....September? (Gosh, I hope so!) It was such an easy write, I can't believe how much work the edit has been.

Meanwhile, I've started up my blog again. There are many reasons I like blogging better than newsletters, but the short version of it is that blogs hit Google. That's the short reason. Most you can send to subscribers like a newsletter, but I haven't found a reliable way to manage that with my self-hosted blog yet. The most I can do is cull my links and send them to you in a newsletter, like Kit. But at least Google sees it. :)

QOTNL: *(AKA Question of the newsletter, Rather than Question of the day. Get it? :))

Do y'all still read blogs? Would any of you be interested in my chatty blogs? That's the question of the day.

Meanwhile, I have a sale and a swap for you.

For the sale, I'm in these, with The Artist's Inheritance. If you haven't read that one, its synopsis is as follows:

The balance between good and evil can be an art… or a curse.

Trevor and Caitlin were once happy newlyweds, profiting from Trevor’s art. Until Trevor inherits his brother’s house, and with it, his part of an old Welsh family curse. Now, Caitlin will stop at nothing to save her beloved husband from insanity and suicide, even if it means she must embrace her destiny and become a witch.

You can find it here.

Swaps:

This one is for the fans of my urban fantasy series, Antique Magic.

"Mending Broken Promises"

You can get it here.

After being forced apart during the Human-Witch War, Liria had thought her childhood best friend long dead, but he suddenly appears in her life again after she's had a child, loved a man, and lost a husband. Aster can't believe how much of her life he's missed. Liria had long given up on seeing Aster, one of her closest friends, and as she raises her daughter, Astraea, alone, she thinks of him constantly. She has been rebuilding a quiet life, teaching Astraea to use magic, even after she had lost her ability to perform magic herself. When Aster appeared suddenly in her living room, she thought she finally would not have to do it all alone anymore. But Aster disappears again. Liria sends him letter after letter, but she can't quite convince him to come back to her. Aster has spent the last decade recovering from months of being tortured. He was no longer the spirited and strong man Liria had known, and he could not stand to be a disappointment. He had missed so much of her life, and he had already broken his most important promise to her: stay by her side forever. Can Aster and Liria help Aster feel worthy of being loved again?

And one more:

Check out Shea Hulse. I think you'll like her newsletter.

DearReader Sorry, I thought I did everything right, but it looks like the links to my two swap buddies got wasted somewhere. Here they are again: Christmas At Kellworth by Donna K. Hi, Reader I hope you’re doing well and are looking forward to a fine July 4th (if you celebrate). I’m feeling back to normal, this week and have been working hard revising that darned follow-up to Letters to Ellie, and am happy to report…that draft is done. If all goes well, maybe (medium-sized maybe) I can have it out before the end of October? We’ll see. I hate to commit, since the last revision went so horribly wrong. 🫣 For reading, I’m still plugging along in the Thelonious Monk book I...

Good day again Reader. I hope you're doing well. I am. Sorry for an extra email, but hello and welcome to June! Can you believe it's June again? Plans for this summer? None but I'm hopeful for getting the follow-up to Letters to Ellie out before Fall. (I hope!) Also, praying for no hurricanes this year. Dare we hope? Summer isn't summer. It's hurricane season. Oh for my school days where I only planned for time off. Now? No. Just storms. What am I up to this week? I'm still working hard on...
